Send money from Qatar to Canada
Two ways into a Canadian account
Canada lets you choose how the money arrives. An Interac e-Transfer goes to an email address or a mobile number and reaches the recipient quickly. A conventional bank transfer goes to the transit number, the institution number and the account number, and typically credits the next business day.
The choice is worth making deliberately from Qatar, because the two are useful for different things. Interac suits a person, a relative or a landlord who can accept it from their phone. The bank route suits a fixed obligation paid into an account you already hold, which is what most of this corridor actually is.
Either way the Canadian dollar figure is calculated and shown before you confirm, and the person receiving it needs no Grey account at all.

Where the money goes on a Qatar to Canada transfer
Grey shows the Canadian dollar total and the fee side by side before anything is committed, and nothing further is taken at the Canadian end.
Over a year of mortgage payments the gap between a quoted rate and a good one is not a rounding error. It is the difference between a payment that covers the instalment and one that leaves you moving money twice.

The Canadian dollar figure holds

Confirmation fixes the number. What the loonie does against the dollar afterwards is no longer your problem.
That is useful on a route built around dates. A mortgage payment, a property tax instalment, a tuition deadline in Canada all have to be met exactly, and arriving short by a little because the market moved is its own small administrative disaster.
The riyal is pegged to the US dollar, so if you are holding dollars in Doha, the only live variable is the dollar against the Canadian dollar. Fixing that at confirmation closes the question.
