Send money to the Netherlands from Kuwait
Who sends from Kuwait to the Netherlands
The people on this corridor are almost all here on contract. Process and subsurface engineers on Kuwaiti oil and gas projects, aviation and ground operations staff, consultants on defined engagements, and a smaller group in teaching and clinical work. Almost none of it is a remittance in the usual sense. It is somebody in Ahmadi or Kuwait City keeping a life in the Netherlands running while they are not standing in it: a mortgage, an insurance premium, a pension contribution, a child at university, a partner managing the household.
Payout is a euro credit into a Dutch IBAN, moved by SEPA, into ING Netherlands, ABN AMRO or Rabobank. SEPA Instant is available where the receiving bank supports it. What arrives is a normal euro credit in a euro account, with no further conversion waiting at the other end and nothing for your recipient to claim or collect.
The funding side is the part worth reading twice. Grey holds no Kuwaiti dinar balance. You hold US dollars provided by Lead Bank, pounds or euro, and if you hold the euro balance you are not converting at all when you send to a Dutch IBAN. You are moving euro to euro.

What sending euro from Kuwait costs
That is worth being precise about, because it is exactly where euro corridors are usually described misleadingly. A transfer from Kuwait to the Netherlands does not convert into euro and then convert again on arrival. If you hold dollars, one conversion happens, into euro, at the rate shown before you confirm. If you hold euro, none happens.
So the honest comparison on this corridor is not about who has the best rate. It is about whether a provider is putting a conversion in front of you that does not need to be there.

How the rate works when you are converting from dollars

If your salary or contract fee arrives in dollars, one conversion sits between you and the Dutch IBAN. Grey shows the live rate for it before you confirm and fixes it at that point, so the euro figure on screen is the figure that reaches ING, ABN AMRO or Rabobank.
The dinar is relevant here mostly as an explanation of why local quotes look so steady. It is managed against a dollar weighted basket rather than floating, so the headline you see around Kuwait barely moves, and a margin can vary underneath a number that appears stable. Since the dinar is the highest valued currency unit in the world, an amount that reads as small in dinar is a substantial euro figure, and the margin on it is substantial too.
The way out of all of this is to hold euro if euro is what you need to send. The rate stops being part of the question.
