A small republic and a specific payment
San Marino is a republic of about sixty square kilometres inside Italy. There is no Sammarinese community in Ireland to speak of, and this page is not going to invent one. If you are here, you almost certainly have one particular payment to make.
Usually that means a company. San Marino has a long standing manufacturing and services base, and Irish businesses occasionally buy from it, licence from it or contract with a firm registered there. Sometimes it is personal instead: a purchase, a professional fee, or family reached through an Italian side of a household.
Either way the mechanics are as simple as this network gets. Euro leaves your Grey balance in Ireland, euro is credited to the San Marino account, and the figure does not change along the way.

What it costs
A rate only enters if your money starts in another currency. Converting sterling or dollars to euro on Grey is priced separately and shown separately, so nothing is folded into a single vague total.
On the San Marino side there is nothing further. No local conversion, and no difference between the figure you approved in Ireland and the figure on the statement.

The figure is settled before you send

If a conversion is involved on your side, the rate appears before confirmation and is fixed at that point. If you already hold euro, the amount simply passes through unchanged.
For a one off payment against an invoice, that is the whole requirement: send the number on the document, and have that number arrive.
