Euro into a Czech account, not koruna
How this corridor really works
Start with the part most services bury. Grey does not pay out in Czech koruna. What leaves your euro balance in Ireland arrives in the Czech account as euro, through the same SEPA scheme that moves money inside the eurozone. If your recipient wants koruna in their hand, the conversion is done by their bank, at their bank's rate, not by Grey.
That is a good arrangement for a Czech contractor who invoices a Dublin firm in euro, for anyone who keeps a euro account alongside their koruna one, and for a business that already prices in euro. It is a poorer arrangement for a household whose weekly spending is entirely in koruna, because the rate that matters to them is set at the Czech end where you cannot see it.
The Czech community in Ireland dates largely from 2004 and is spread well beyond Dublin, and Irish companies have run development and shared service teams in Prague and Brno for as long. Both send on this corridor. Knowing which of the two you are is the whole decision here.
Sending euro to a Czech IBAN

What it costs, and where the second cost hides
The cost you cannot see from Ireland is the one applied in Czechia. If your recipient converts the euro credit into koruna, their bank sets that rate and may charge for the service. Ask them what Ceska Sporitelna, CSOB or Komercni Banka does with an incoming euro credit before you send a large amount.
Where the recipient keeps a euro account, none of that arises. The euro sits in euro, and this corridor becomes one of the cleanest ways to pay a Czech invoice from Ireland.

The rate question on a euro credit

Sending euro from an Irish euro balance, there is no Grey rate to apply. The figure you confirm is the figure credited to the Czech account.
A rate only enters if your Grey balance is in another currency, in which case it is fixed at confirmation and shown beforehand. The conversion into koruna, if your recipient wants one, sits outside that and belongs to their bank.

Reasons to use Grey on this route
This corridor delivers euro into a Czech IBAN and leaves the koruna question to the recipient's bank. For euro invoices out of Prague and Brno that is clean and quick. For a koruna household budget it is a trade you should make with your eyes open.
