How UAE-based senders reach Côte d'Ivoire
Start from the recipient's side. Someone in Abidjan needs a fixed sum in CFA francs by a fixed date, and they bank with SGBCI or another local bank. Ivorians working in the Gulf send home every month, and Gulf investors pay Abidjan contractors.
Grey works backwards from that: enter the XOF figure, see the USD cost from Dubai, and send. The rate holds.
How sending to Cote d'Ivoire works

A passport or Emirates ID and a few minutes in Dubai. Your account arrives with dollar, euro and pound details for receiving money from abroad. Grey works with licensed partners serving the Gulf.
Fund
Your salary or client payments in USD, EUR or GBP land in your Grey account. That balance funds the transfer to Côte d'Ivoire.
Send
Côte d'Ivoire uses a RIB as well. Copy it from the recipient's SGBCI, NSIA or Ecobank statement, confirm the XOF figure, and tap send.
Two numbers, both shown first
With Grey, a sender in Dubai sees three numbers before confirming: the USD debited, the fee, and the XOF that reaches Abidjan. None of them change afterwards.

XOF amount held from send to settlement

Enter the XOF amount first if the recipient's figure is what matters. Grey shows the USD cost from Dubai and locks it.
The person at SGBCI sees exactly the sum you agreed.

The corridor most banks won't touch
Between Dubai and Abidjan, the problem is well known. Abidjan is a serious trade hub, yet the payments behind that trade are often priced like small gifts with wide spreads nobody questions. From Dubai, Grey does the conversion transparently and delivers XOF as a domestic credit at SGBCI or any other bank.
What lands at SGBCI
The XOF posts directly to the recipient's own account at any Ivorian bank, including SGBCI, Ecobank Côte d'Ivoire, NSIA Banque, BICICI. To them it looks like a domestic credit. The sender in Abu Dhabi sees it settle in the app.

Works with every Ivorian bank
From SGBCI to the smallest regional lender.

Looks local to them
A XOF deposit on their statement, nothing more.

Grey optional on their side
Unless they want GreyTag, which is instant and free.
Topping up in Dubai
Before the XOF reaches Abidjan, the money has to get onto Grey in Dubai. UAE residents fund Grey from foreign income: employer payroll in USD, overseas clients, family abroad. The balance sends onward without touching dirhams. Hold the balance in dollars and convert to XOF exactly when the payment to Abidjan is due.
No local deposit
Grey in the UAE is funded from abroad only.
Three currencies in
USD, EUR, GBP all accepted, all convertible to XOF.
One conversion out
Rate shown before you send to Abidjan.
For a UAE-based sender, being able to convert to XOF at the exact moment you choose is worth more than any fee saving.
