When we started Grey, it was about more than just payments. We wanted to make a difference in the lives of remote workers and creators in developing economies.

In late 2020, we realized three things while dealing with the effects of a worldwide pandemic. For the first time, a large number of companies were hiring remote workers in different locations. Two, many of these workers were residents in Africa and other developing regions. The third thing was that receiving international payments was burdensome, so how would they receive salaries?

Grey makes it easy for remote workers and creators in developing economies to open a foreign bank account and start receiving payments in their local currency, without worrying about exchange rates or transfer fees. We believe this will help empower more people and create opportunities for them to improve their lives.

So far, we have helped hundreds of people open bank accounts and receive payments from companies worldwide. We are proud to say that we are making a difference in the lives of those who need it the most, and we are doing it one payment at a time.
